I am glad the coinciding dates didn't spoil your anniversary and I hope you had as good a one as possible. I understand. Both my parents died close to Thanksgiving. Instead of bringing that day down, it is a reminder for fond memories.
ReplyDeleteyou are practical like I am, it would not bother me either, that they shared the same day.... when it happens on a specail day it is easier to remember and you have such fond memories of her and of your life with hubby.. you have my condolences and sympathy.
ReplyDeleteSending you and Walter some belated, but happy "Anniversary Wishes", even if it wasn't celebrated under ideal circumstances.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way! I love the idea of a funeral being a celebration of the person's life here on earth. What better way to honor them! Of course it is sad when a loved one passes...and I have lost many loved ones in recent years, but they would want us to remember them with love and fondness...and to celebrate their life!
ReplyDeleteI also am glad that my mother in law was a wonderful woman who raised this amazing man I am married to.
