Our north porch |
I can see his point. But the street side of our property has a carport and the ramp up to our entry door, all under roof and with railings that help me navigate safely.
In contrast the north porch faces our "woods," creating privacy that offers space for unobtrusive storage. On the left east side is an antique cedar wardrobe that in former years held my stash of Bible lessons and craft supplies for my second grade Sunday school class.
Several years later I graduated to working with fifth and sixth graders and then Vacation Bible School and after-school programs. Nothing got tossed and every space in the wardrobe was packed.
Yay...I'm so happy to see a new post Linda.
ReplyDeleteYour "New" home sounds so wonderful. I like the idea of being surrounded by woods and its creatures.
Lucky people that inherited all your supplies. We have been slowly weeding out our things too. Its a never ending process.

Your house looks so lovely nestled there in the woods all lit up. Calm and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely house, and in such a charming area.
ReplyDeleteI fell in love at first sight with your home, your porch and your yard. we would love a house like this. is that another porch on the south side? a screened porch? i have always wanted a porch or porches and never had even one.
ReplyDeleteYes, screened porch on east side. It is our favorite breakfast spot unless the ceiling fan fails to vanquish hot and muggy summer. Right now it’s perfect.
DeleteYou have a lovely home.
ReplyDeleteYour north porch looks so warm and inviting.
