Fledgling docs
Granddaughter Molly Kate, 5, came through a recent outpatient hernia repair with flying colors and praise from the surgeon and the anesthesiologist for her pre- and post-op behavior.
Of course that bit of
praise was relayed to me via our son who is definitely a proud—and relieved,
papa.
The photos above of
3-year-old Walker and big sister Molly Kate are evidence that the hospital
experience had an impact on both Louisiana grands. I filched these
photos from daughter-in-law Katie’s facebook post Friday.
Their little brains soak up so much information from their experiences. So glad this was a good one!

ReplyDeleteI am so glad it went well, I always enjoy seeing pictures of Molly, she is adorable. And I bet LOTS of fun!
ReplyDeleteshe looks a lot better than my surgeon.. so cute, and glad she came through the surgery safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteI had hernia surgery last year. Post-op was very painful. I had to be helped to the toilet and to bed. Good luck and best wishes to your granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteFacbook is great for filching. I took a few myself from Granddaughter Rita's page. that's how I keep up with their lives.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear your news. Any hospital visit for a child is tough for parents. Dianne
Awful for any child to be in a hospital but so happy the surgery was a success and smiles were enjoyed. How cute the doll in scrubs.
ReplyDeleteReading this brought back memories of when my sone had a hernia surgery when he was 4 years old.I remember how sad he looked right before. Everything was fine. Thank God your granddaughter is fine!
ReplyDeleteI think it is more scary for the parents.
