Buy what?

Husband Walter and I were in our favorite coffee shop today, planning the rest of our week. Hubby was also making a list of things we needed to buy but keep forgetting to get them.

I was busy writing some upcoming appointments in my small month-at-a-glance pocket calendar I carry in my purse. Holding it open with my left fist and keeping it from sliding is always a challenge. I was concentrating.

I resurfaced at Hubby’s comment, “We need to buy an Apple charger.”

“What the heck is an Apple charger?”

“A charger for our computers,” he responded.

Duh! Our cherished laptops are Apples in need of new battery chargers. We both cackled.

Not many minutes later, another customer we hadn’t seen at the coffee shop before approached our table.

“I couldn’t help but overhear about the Apple charger,” she laughed. “That was so funny.”

And that made a good day even better. I can’t tell jokes. I can never remember the punch lines. Even the accuracy of my record of the Apple incident has already deteriorated a bit. But I sure do love to make people laugh, even if the joke’s on me.

Have a great week. To borrow a frequent phrase that blogger Freda uses:

Every blessing!
