Today

Husband Walter returned from a doctor’s appointment today with an early February date for laparoscopic surgery.

The surgeon will remove Hubby’s gallbladder and thus the three-centimeter gallstone that gave him so much pain for about four days around Christmas.

My partner in this retirement journey noted that aging has not only brought retirement. It has also meant that we spend a hefty part of that retirement in doctors’ offices. The good news is that he has not had a recurrence of the pain caused by the stone moving.

Have a great weekend!

  1. We rarely have a week go by that we are not at the doctor, I have probably ten or more. And now the vet as well. I had my gallbladder removed laparoscopicaly about five years ago and it was the easiest operation I ever had. If you ask, the doctor will put the stones in a little jar and you can keep them and put the jar on the mantle!

  5. Glad your Hubby has a surgery date.
So sorry for the reason but Happy he hasn't had any pain since his attack.
This last year we certainly spent more time in Dr. offices that I liked.
Praying for Hubby and I and you two to stay out of them this year.
